Course Details

Training is restricted to active sworn law enforcement. The training day will begin at 8:30am with classroom instruction held at the Newton Town Hall, 39 Trinity Street, Newton, NJ in the court room. The fieldwork portion will then be held at Saint Paul’s Abbey, Route 206, in Andover Township.

Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and training outdoors. Bring water – stay hydrated. Pilots should have their FAA Part 107 license, or have appropriate arrangements to operate the equipment safely and legally. Alternatively, participants may observe the fieldwork but will not be able to operate a UAS. Participants should bring their own UAS equipment. Participants from the same agency may share UAS equipment.

Training certificates will be issued through the National Police Bloodhound Association to all attendees.

Our thanks to K-9 Sgt. Chris Nichols, K-9 Sgt. Dustin Phillips, and the National Police Bloodhound Association for providing this FREE training.
